Today The University has more than 49,000 graduates, with a current population of approximately 6,000 students, including adult, part-time and graduate students. The professors are known for their excellence in teaching and for the personal attention they give to students. Of our 281 faculty members, 88 percent hold doctoral or other terminal degrees in their field. With outstanding online communication tools, students have ample opportunity to ask questions, participate in research and meet with faculty.
With 19 NCAA varsity sports programs that compete in the Landmark Conference, The University of Scranton gives its students and supporters plenty to cheer about. The Royals have achieved impressive results, most notably two NCAA Division III championships in men’s basketball, as well as two additional Final Four appearances.
